He should have done like the Liberals and taken the military challenger jet or the Irving oil jet. BTW, doesn't Pat Martin represent Winnipeg Center but live on an exclusive island in B.C.

In the first place 'Ethics panel' is a misnomer.
Secondly, present government business is totally unrelated to the Mulroney-Schreiber affair.
A cabinet memebr over-spending on travelling, hardly a surprise. Based on performance I am sure the present government are already taking stpes to correct it.

This is an old story that first aired in the summer and the answer has something to do with travelling to rural Quebec which apparently is not well-served by commuter airlines.
